Living Daily With Myeloma

This update is to keep you inspired as I post my story on a bi-weekly basis. When diagnosed October 30, 2013 I was 71. In January 2015, at the age of 73, I had a partial autologous stem cell transplant. Since then I have been on a multiple myeloma maintenance therapy program. Presently, there is not a cure for this rare disease, but it is treatable. My treatment is a monoclonal antibody protein. I am in remission and have no limitations except for those I adhere to such as staying apart from crowds and hand shakes because of a compromised immune system. My bloodwork is in order with my hemoglobin consistently above 15. I am very active. My passion is cycling.
