I accepted Joshua 1:9 as the confirmation from God to make the 14 day missionary trip to Uganda. March 7, 2013 my wife and I accepted the missionary trip to Uganda. April 8, 2013, I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease and had a cardiac cauterization April 10, 2013, three days before my 71st birthday. As reported in my last blog, two stents were inserted. One of the partial closed arteries was life threatening.
After recovery from the operation, I continued to feel tiredness, and shortness of breath when during any brisk activity. I continued to do limited exercise at a local gym with caution.
I had never suffered from any major illness in my life. I was aware that I should go to my physician and asked for a thorough physical. I have always done that, but I was afraid that the doctor would find something that would cause me to cancel my missionary trip to Uganda. Also, I didn’t tell my wife the full story of my illness, that is, frequent dizziness and leg weakness.
Were there times when I wondered if I really heard from God?
